If you need advice or guidance on where to start with your cycling adventure, or are interested in discovering something new to check out, I can provide recommendations on local trails and cycling routes for all difficulty levels.

From Hiker's Heron Bed & Breakfast in Dyers Bay there are a number of cycling routes that provide an excellent opportunity for exploring the Bruce Peninsula. Road Cycling Routes

Dyers Bay to Tobermory: for sightseeing, shopping, ice cream!

36km to Tobermory, one way

Dyers Bay to Lion's Head: for sightseeing, shopping, ice cream!

35km to Lion's Head, one way


Throw your bike in the back of the car, park in Lion's Head and head to Sauble Beach.


Lion's Head to Southampton 72.7 kms: from the Georgian Bay side to the Lake Huron side and back!

Lion's Head to Stoke's Bay: watch a Lake Huron sunset!
Sunset Cycle 90 kms: A loop route from Lion's Head to the Huron Shores: Red Bay,

Pike Bay, return to Lion's Head!


Lion's Head to Wiarton on County Rd 9: an out-and-back route on a lovely paved

country road!


Or, stay a night at Hiker's Heron B&B and head out with your bike on the ferry to cycle on Manitoulin Island. for a really great cycling adventure.

Mountain Bike Trails


Wiarton Adventure Park

Approximately 55 kms from Hiker's Heron Bed & Breakfast.

Located just north of Wiarton on Bruce Road 9, the
Mountain Bike Adventure Park provides riders with over
15km of both double and single track trails.

Lion's Head Lindsay Tract

Approximately 23 kms from Hiker's Heron Bed & Breakfast.

This property offers a challenging fun ride, with approximately 15km of single-track trail. Whoever said that that you cannot tame Mother Nature must have been a trail builder at the Lindsay Tract. 8,500 acres of heart pounding wilderness, hard rock and good times.

Paisley Brant Tract

Approximately 132 kms from Hiker's Heron Bed & Breakfast.

The Brant tract provides great riding opportunities for all ages and skill levels. Trails range from tight and technical, to open and flowing concepts, and are able to satisfy beginning riders to the more advanced cross-country rider.
