Birding on the Bruce

There are so many migratory birds now on the Bruce just passing through on their way north. Some have wintered as far away as South America, and although for some the long journey ends right here on the Peninsula, many others won't be "home" until they reach the Boreal Forest, the Hudson Bay Lowlands, or the Arctic islands! And some of them are feeding at my feeder in Dyers Bay - baltimore orioles, blackburnian warblers, red breasted grosbeaks, hummingbirds, cardinals, bluejays, redpolls, sparrows, and today, an indigo bunting!! The male and female baltimore orioles like to suck on the juice of an orange. Female cardinal and indigo bunting on the right.
