Wind, Waves, Winter Cabot Head Rd.
The road to Cabot's Head Lighthouse runs 8 kms along the coastline and begins just metres from my house. In the fall and winter months the waves dramatically crash along the shoreline. This year, with high water levels, the big storms and waves are eroding the road, dragging trees into the water and throwing up rocks and debris onto the road. It is no longer safe to drive a vehicle to the lighthouse, but the journey can be hiked and it is always beautiful. What will two more months of winter do to Cabot Head Rd.?
